“Lola's path in school will be positive from beginning her journey with Hummingbird Playgarden. A loving space full of exploration and positive guidance. Thank you!” – Jessica Pearson

Hummingbird Playgarden is an exceptional preschool program. This is our son's third year with Sherri Brown. He adores her and thrives in a healthy, safe, and mentally conducive environment for children 3-5 years of age.

Ms. Sherri employs a Waldorf-inspired pedagogy, and she is a master teacher in regards to children in this age range—although I am sure she would be an excellent teacher for children of every age toward adulthood. My wife and I are continually amazed at how positively effective the program and Ms. Sherri have been for our son. She uses positive reinforcement and positive assertion coupled with redirection of energy to focus errant behavior. She is highly effective at creating an atmosphere of creativity, kinesthetic play and social connectivity. My wife and I adamantly recommend Hummingbird Playgarden.

Thank you Sherri for your amazing strength of character and kindness to our son and our whole family.” – Jason, Rachael and Aeden Davis

“We presently have two very happy children at the Hummingbird Playgarden in Ukiah. Before selecting this program, my wife and I spent many weeks looking for the right pre-school experience for our kids and we visited many in town and met their proprietors and teachers. Although we met many good people and saw a number of very good programs, Hummingbird Playgarden seemed like the perfect fit for us and for the other families that chose it as well.

The program and Miss Sherri Brown offer our community and children a very kind and warm environment that is ideal for nurturing. Miss Sherri treats each child with utmost care and respect, bringing out their best talents and potential. From my close observations, I have seen the children always engaged in positive behavior and song, and rarely ever seen negative behavior.

Most of the parents at Hummingbird Playgarden know each other well and we participate in many activities together. It is easy to see that we all feel very lucky to have such a nice facility and people to look after our children. In fact, we felt very lucky that our oldest wasn’t old enough to go to kindergarten just yet, so she can spend an extra year with Miss Sherri before moving on. Our youngest son is also enjoying himself tremendously and learning to socialize with other children and with adults through the programs’ various activities.” –  Rudy Yakzan
